Toronto claims OUA men’s fencing championship

Ottawa, Ont. - The Toronto Varsity Blues hoisted the OUA men's fencing championship banner on Sunday afternoon, edging the defending champions from Carleton University by 27 points. All-Stars Calum Wilson and William Kinney led the way for the Blues in a huge point performance in the sabre, while Colin Dale picked up important points in the epee.

The men's fencing championship featured 12 programs vying for individual and team medals, and six saw fencers step to the podium over the two-day competition. Toronto claimed gold in a closely contested team sabre final over the McMaster Marauders, while Carleton topped Ottawa and Western, respectively, in the foil and epee team events.
