MUSTANGS EXTEND WIN STREAK TO 14 GAMES IN MEN'S HOCKEY

LONDON, Ont. – Geoff Killing (Embro, Ont.) scored Western's game-winning goal in overtime to defeat the Windsor Lancers 3-2, extending the Mustangs winning streak to 14 games.

Regular play goals were scored by Aaron Snow (Windsor, Ont.) and Keaton Turkiewicz (Brantford, Ont.). Lancer goals were claimed by Brett Oliphant (Woodslee, Ont.) and Steve Ferry (Richmond Hill, Ont.).

Mustang goaltender Keyvan Hunt (Coquitlam, B.C.) turned aside 25 of 27 shots he faced to earn the win.

Western's power play unit, ranked first in the OUA, went 0-for-3 on power play opportunities.

After a late December exhibition tournament in St. Catharines, Ont., at the end of December, the Mustangs will return for regular season play in the New Year, hosting Lakehead for back-to-back games on Jan. 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Thompson Arena.
