Thunderbirds sweep competition to win George Brown Women's Basketball Holiday Tournament

The Algoma Thunderbirds women's basketball team came away victorious over the holiday break at the Inaugural George Brown Women's Basketball Holiday Tournament. The Thunderbirds were crowned champions after narrowly defeating the Durham Lords, 75-69.
 
Algoma went 3-0 at the George Brown Women's Basketball Holiday Tournament, winning two games against the Durham Lords, and one to the George Brown Huskies.
 
In the championship game, Jordan Milos led the Tbirds with 17 buckets, followed closely by Alyssa Dovigig, who earned 15. Lindsay Panchan led the Lords with 28 points.
 
Milos earned the title of Tournament MVP.
