MONTREAL, Que. - Heading into the 2019 Canadian University Men's Rugby Championship, the Guelph Gryphons knew the competition was going to be tough. Having drawn the host Concordia Stingers for their quarter-final match-up Wednesday evening they were not only getting a tough team, but one looking to represent their home field as well. Unfortunately for the Gryphons, the Stingers were just a bit too much on Wednesday as Guelph fell 10-7 to Concordia.

After an impressive opening weekend by the University of Guelph's men's and women's soccer teams, it is a pair of talented defenders sweeping the first Gryphon Athlete of the Week honours of the 2019-20 season. Sayan Ladhani, a third-year defensive midfielder on the women's soccer team, and Moses Kafeero, a rookie defender on the Gryphons men's soccer team, have been named Gryphon Athletes of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 1, 2019.
GUELPH, Ont. - It was a big task in front of them Sunday afternoon at the GGAC, and despite the Guelph Gryphons best efforts, they weren't quite able to stump the undefeated and U SPORTS top-ranked Carleton Ravens. Although they were able to hang with the Ravens, the Gryphons were unable to break through against Carleton in a 94-81 loss.
