YUKON BLONDE TO PLAY THE BELAIRDIRECT HALFTIME AT THE 105TH YATES CUP
Hailing from Vancouver, B.C., Yukon Blonde is comprised of lead singer and guitarist Jeff Innes, drummer Graham Jones and guitarist Brandon Scott. Yukon Blonde is something of a chameleon; their sound has been compared to a number of great acts, from Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, all the way to The Ramones.
Yukon Blonde’s latest album, Tiger Talk, was released March 20, 2012 on Dine Alone Records and is available on iTunes (http://bitly.com/TuGLtC). Featuring alt rock radio hits ‘Stairway’ and ‘My Girl,’ the album still bears some of the hallmarks of what made Yukon Blonde so beloved to begin with: the jangling riffs, the warm harmonies, and Innes' inquisitive lyrical questioning of the world around him. This time, however, the songs are jacked up on sugar-spiked pop and coursing with adrenaline.
After a tour through the US with labelmates The Jezabels, Yukon Blonde is excited to head out on a tour across Canada with friends The Sheepdogs, and is thrilled to add the 105th Yates Cup into their tour lineup.
“It is such a pleasure to be a part of the 105th Yates cup half time show. Congratulations to McMaster and Guelph, and best of luck to both teams in the game!”
