After five years with the Garnet and Grey, countless highlights and a slew of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and Ontario University Athletics (OUA) awards, Pilar Khoury will continue her soccer career in France in the fall of 2016. The two-time OUA MVP will be donning the colours of ASPTT Albi, in the French division 1 women’s league.

BURLINGTON, Ont. – Since the 2009 season, four teams have been crowned OUA women’s soccer champions: the York Lions, Laurier Golden Hawks, Queen’s Gaels and University of Ottawa Gee-Gees. All four teams will take to the pitch in our nation’s capital this weekend looking to once again hoist the OUA banner.
The Gee-Gees women’s soccer team scored last and it was enough to gain the edge in an intensely played OUA quarter-final against the Carleton Ravens. The game was tied up twice by the Ravens and the teams headed into overtime knotted up at 3-3. It was fifth-year striker Pilar Khoury who put away the game winner for Ottawa in the first overtime period, giving the Gee-Gees the right to host the OUA Final Four on home field.
