Marko Dakic and the Gaels dominate RMC 3-0 in season opener
KINGSTON, Ont. (October 17, 2015) – The Gaels (1-0) grabbed a straight set 3-0 win against the RMC Paladins (0-1) this Saturday in their first game of the 2015-16 OUA season.
KINGSTON, Ont. (October 17, 2015) – The Gaels (1-0) grabbed a straight set 3-0 win against the RMC Paladins (0-1) this Saturday in their first game of the 2015-16 OUA season.
GAME FLOW
The Gaels were hungry for the win from the first serve putting away the first set with a 25-22 score against the Paladins. As the game continued, the Gaels only gained momentum topping RMC's 0.000 percentage, which came from as many errors as they had kills, with a 0.565 percentage in the second and winning it 25-15.
The Gaels headed into the third and final set with two wins already under their belts. The Paladins increased their percentage in the third but the Gaels still wrapped it up 25-17 to take the game in three straight sets.
Newcomer Marko Dakic (Mississauga, Ont.) along with Dylan Hunt (Aurora, Ont.) led the atack, contributing 14 points each to the Gaels win. On the RMC front, Blake McClelland led with nine kills and eight digs while Dale Towe scored nine kills and four digs of his own.
