CARLETON'S SKI TEAM INVITES COMMUNITY FOR A SKI
MEN'S TEAM WILL ALSO BE HONOURED WITH 2004 CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS
Carleton University's Department of Physical Recreation and Athletics invites the Ottawa/Outaouais Media, the Carleton University Students, Faculty and Staff and the Ottawa Community, on Thursday, January 20th, at 12:00pm, to come join Athletics in first honouring the 2004 Canadian University National Champion Men's team with their Championship Rings. After the ceremony to hand out the rings, Head Coach Pavol Skvardilo and the Carleton University Men's and Women's Nordic Ski teams invite all to go for a ski on the newly create track on campus.
The Ravens Varsity Nordic Ski Program has created a Cross-Country Ski School located on Carleton University's Campus and is open to all Carleton Students, Staff, Faculty and the Ottawa Community to join. The school offers all levels of skiers from beginners to advance racers an opportunity to improve their skills. The course(s) are offered at different times so they do not conflict with other day to day responsibilities.
On Thursday, January 20th, the Ravens Varsity Student-Athletes and Coaches will offer all in attendance a free \"Ski Lesson\" and assist in giving you tips on improving your Cross Country Ski \"talents.\" All are welcome to bring their own ski equipment but Carleton University will have equipment on hand for those who do not have the proper ski equipment.
All are welcome to come join in the fun, the ring ceremony will take place in the Department of Athletics, Main Lobby, next to the Tuck Shop, at 12PM
(noon) and the Skiing will commence around 12:20PM on the Rugby field, which is adjacent to the Norm Fenn Gymnasium (old Ravens' Nest).
