LAKEHEAD LOOKS STRONG EARLY IN 2008 NORDIC SKIING SEASON

The Lakehead Thunderwolves Nordic ski teams continued their strong skiing in the
classic interval race Saturday at the OUA Qualifying Meet being held as part of the
overall Ontario Cup Races which began Friday and finished Sunday at the Lappe Nordic Centre outside Thunder Bay.

Four OUA teams took part in the OUA qualifiers in Lappe this past weekend; Lakehead, Laurentian, Carleton and Waterloo. On the women's side Christina Groulx took gold, Mallory Deyne tood silver, and Anna Crawford was fifth. On the men's side; Scott Sullivan took gold, Chris Hamilton took silver, Matt Schoales was fourth, and Matt Cuddy was fifth.
