WESTERN AND LAURIER WOMEN DOMINATE, WHILE THE MEN STAY IN CLOSE COMPETITION
The University of Western Mustangs women’s curling team began their season on a high after sweeping all three of their matches in the OUA West Sectionals this past weekend. The Mustang women dominated the four-team event, posting impressive victories over the Waterloo Warriors and Windsor Lancers.
On the men’s side the competition turned out to be very close, as Waterloo, Brock and Windsor each saw themselves come away with two wins. Three of the six games played came down to a one rock difference
On the East side of things, it was much of the same. The Laurier Golden Hawks women took hold of the sectionals by winning all three of their games, while on the men's side Toronto, Laurier, and Queen's each won two a piece.
