Toronto's Kylie Masse qualifies for Rio in record breaking fashion
Second-year University of Toronto Varsity Blues swimmer Kylie Masse has booked her ticket to Rio, winning the women's 100 backstroke at the 2016 Canadian Olympic & Para swimming trials on Wednesday night at Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.

Masse touched the wall in a Canadian record time of 59.06 seconds to solidify the berth.
Masse also started the day with a bang, breaking the previous Canadian record and notching a top-three time in the world, touching the wall in 59.17 seconds. Following that race, Masse said:
"It's so exciting to see all the hard work pay off. I've done a lot of minor things throughout the season since last summer. I'm happy with how I executed. Hopefully I can repeat tonight."
