BROWN SECOND AT CANADIAN CROSS-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
GUELPH, Ont. - University of Toronto Varsity Blues cross-country standout Megan Brown placed second at the 2009 Canadian cross-country championships on Saturday, Nov. 28 in Guelph, Ont.
The 2009 OUA and CIS individual champion, Brown (Guelph, Ont.) finished the 7km race in 23:28.0, seven seconds behind NCAA silver medalist Kendra Schaaf of the University of Washington.
The silver-medal performance deems Brown eligible to represent Canada at the IAAF world cross country championships on March 28, 2010 in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
