HART TAKES OVER WINDSOR MEN'S SOCCER PROGRAM

WINDSOR - Gord Grace, Director of Athletics and Recreational Services is pleased to announce the hiring of Steve Hart as the new head coach of the Lancer men's soccer program. The appointment is effective immediately.

Hart is currently the highest qualified active coach in the Windsor-Essex County area and also the District Coach for Essex, Lambton and Kent County Soccer Associations. In the local soccer community, Hart is highly regarded as a club coach and administrator, having won numerous provincial and regional honours, including the 2001 U-19 Ontario Cup.

"We are very excited to have Steve join our program," commented Grace. "He has done a great job within the local community and we are looking forward to him leading our Lancer men's soccer team into the future."

As an Ontario Soccer Association Staff Instructor, Hart teaches the O.S.A. community courses in coaching and is also an Ontario Soccer Association Assessor for the Provincial Licensing Courses. Presently he holds his Canadian National B License, his Ontario B & C License, his NCCP Level III in Theory, and his Level III as a Soccer Referee.

Hart has held a long interest in Lancer Men's Soccer as both a former assistant coach, and former club coach of many current Lancer athletes.
