Training camp opens with Cable 14 - McMaster Preview Show
HAMILTON, Ont. - The spotlight shining on the 2011 McMaster University football team will be there right from the first day of training camp this year.
On Monday, August 22, Hamilton's Cable 14, in partnership with McMaster Athletics and Recreation, will host the “Leave No Doubt: McMaster Football 2011” preview show from Ron Joyce Stadium.
The McMaster football broadcast team of Todd Crocker and Don Edwards will co-host the show and will be joined by McMaster Hall of Fame member and former Canadian Football League standout Mike Morreale.
The hour-long show will provide insight into the 2011 edition of the Marauders and their Ontario University Athletics opponents. Scheduled to air at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Cable 14, the show will also be available online at www.marauders.ca. Additional viewing options include the Ustream.tv mobile app and on the McMaster Sports Facebook page.
The Marauders will practice at Ron Joyce Stadium from Monday, August 22 until Friday, August 27th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm each day. Special teams practices will take place from 4:00 to 5:00 pm each day except Friday afternoon, which is travel day to Quebec City for the exhibition game against the defending Vanier Cup Champion Laval Rouge et Or.
The Marauders will hold a joint practice with Laval on Saturday, August 27th and then take on the Rouge et Or in an exhibition game on Sunday, August 28th with a 1:00 pm kickoff. (See full training camp schedule below.)
The Marauders will open the OUA season on the road in Kingston against the Queen's Gaels on Labour Day, Monday, September 5 at 2:00 pm.
