WESTERN CLAIMS GRYPHON INVITATIONAL
The Western Mustangs won both divisions. Their five-man men's team, using their four best scores, shot a total of 290 to beat the Guelph Gryphons by two shots. The Waterloo Warriors were a single shot behind the Gryphons in third place with a score of 293.
Individually, Mike Nelligan of Guelph won low medalist honours with a one under par 70. At even par 71 were Greg Kennette and Joe Lindsay of Western, and Jaspreet Walia of Waterloo.
In the ladies division, playing as three person teams with the best two scores counting, Western shot a153 total with Lindsay Edmunds firing a 74 to lead the team and win low medalist honours. Toronto and Guelph tied at 165 but Toronto garnered the second place based on the third person tiebreaker. The Queen's ladies scored 168 and the Windsor squad was 200.
