WESTERN INVITATIONAL RESULTS
The par-72 Sunningdale Golf and Country Club in London was the venue for the Western Invitational, where Waterloo took home the men's team title, as well as one and two in the individual finishes. On the strength of Arjun Walia's two-under 70 and Chris Vredeveld's one-under 71, the Warriors captured their second OUA-sanctioned tournament of the year. Laurier finished second, five strokes back, from Waterloo, as Andrew Hare secured third place with his even-par round. Brock rounded off the top three in the team category with two golfers finishing in the top ten.
In the women's event, it was the Western Mustangs who claimed the team title as well as first and second in the individual competition. Sue Gleeson recorded a 79 to finish first, while teammate Christan Bosley shot an 81 for second place. Guelph's Nonie Marler led the Gryphons to a second place finish as she claimed third with an 83. Toronto's women's team ended in third place.
