Queen's men's rugby honoured by Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
KINGSTON, Ont. (November 30, 2010) – The Queen’s Gaels men’s rugby team was honoured by Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) CEO Sandra Palmaro Tuesday morning at the Athletics and Recreation Centre on the campus of Queen’s University.
Ms. Palmaro was joined by Karen Malone, the CBCF’s Vice-President Community Development, in making a presentation to Rugby Team Captain David Slattery of Oakville, Ont., to recognize the participation, dedication and contribution of the Queen’s Rugby Team to the Foundation and the Run for the Cure.
This year, Queen’s men’s rugby raised over $27,000 through their participation in the CBCF’s Run for the Cure.
