OTTAWA RIVALS DRAW TO START WEEKEND ACTION
Carleton 1 Ottawa 1
Krista Power scored an equalizer late in the second half to help the Carleton Ravens to a 1-1 draw with their hometown rivals, the Ottawa Gee-Gees. Power scored in the 75th minute for Carleton. Ottawa’s Tara Currie had given the Gee-Gees a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute of the game.

Allison Oosterhuis scored the only goal of the match as the Western Mustangs defeated the Windsor Lancers 1-0 at Brescia Fields Saturday. Goalkeeper Jennifer Van Dyk was credited with the shut-out in net.
Nipissing 3 Guelph 1
The Nipissing Lakers scored three times in the first half to get past the Guelph Gryphons 3-1 Saturday at Education Centre Field. Kate St. Onge, Vanessa Baker and Bernadetta Dec each had goals for Nipissing, while Emily Robson scored for Guelph.
Laurentian 2 Ryerson 1
The Laurentian Lady Vees came from a goal down to score twice in a 2-1 win over the Ryerson Rams Saturday. Ryerson took a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute on a goal from Sarah Mior but Laurentian’s Jenna Roach scored five minutes later to knot the game at 1-1. Erica Duczeminski then scored the winner in the 42nd minute to get the home team the win.
Toronto 3 McMaster 1
Lindsay Lashley scored two goals leading the Toronto Varsity Blues to a 3-1 win over the McMaster Marauders at Varsity Stadium. Lashley opened the scoring early in the game and then added her second of the match in the 76th minute. Sheona Morrison also scored for Toronto, while Hilary Frankovich had the only goal for McMaster.
York 2 Brock 0
Aurelea Gumiela posted a shut-out in net as the York Lions defeated the Brock Badgers 2-0 at York Stadium Saturday. Jodie Williams scored the winning goal in the 58th minute, while Kyla Jones added another in the 74th minute to clinch the three points for the Lions.

Ottawa’s Valerie May scored two goals as the Ottawa Gee-Gees defeated the Western Mustangs 3-1. Cristina Bonasia got the Mustangs on the board in the 10th minute but May responded almost immediately for Ottawa, tying the game 1-1 in the 12th minute. Krista Power added the Gee-Gees’ second at the hour mark and May scored again in the 90th minute to seal the win.
Queen’s 1 Carleton 0
Laura Johnstone scored the only goal of the game with the final whistle nearing as the Queen’s Golden Gaels snuck past the Carleton Ravens 1-0 Sunday at Keith Harris Stadium. Kate Chambers recorded the clean sheet in the Queen’s net.
Nipissing 1 Ryerson 0
Lauren Glover scored the lone goal of the match to help the Nipissing Lakers to a 1-0 win over the Ryerson Rams at Education Centre Field. Glover struck in the 15th minute to put Nipissing up. Anna Violo had the shut-out in the Lakers’ net.
Laurentian 2 Guelph 0
Erica Duczeminski scored her second straight game-winning goal in two days helping the Laurentian Lady Vees to a 2-0 win over the Guelph Gryphons Sunday. Duczeminski scored in the 12th minute for all the offence the Lady Vees would need. She had scored the winner against Ryerson one day earlier. Jenna Roach had Laurentian’s other goal, early in the second half.

Stephanie DeBoer scored the only goal of the match as the Brock Badgers defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues 1-0 Sunday. DeBoer’s goal was her fourth in seven games.
