WINDSOR MEN�S RUGBY SELF-DISCLOSES INELIGIBLE PLAYER

HAMILTON, ON - Ontario University Athletics (OUA) announced today that the University of Windsor Lancers men's rugby team have disclosed they were unknowingly used an ineligible player for one game. Mr. Rob Duncan's participation was in violation of Unit III, Rule 2.3.2 of the OUA Student-Athlete Eligibility Policy, which states that all student-athletes must be registered as "full-time" by the academic regulations of their respective institutions in each term during the academic year.

Last year, Mr. Duncan was a registered student-athlete at the University of Windsor for one term only. He did not complete sufficient credit hours in 2004-05 to be eligible to participate in 2005-06, thus making him ineligible to compete for the Lancers this season.

Mr. Duncan participated for the Lancers September 10, 2005 in a game against the McMaster University Marauders. McMaster defeated Windsor 79-0 and thus, the game result will remain the same. All other statistics from such contests will remain valid, except for those of the ineligible player
