DEFENDING CHAMPS BLANK HAWKS
One day after sweeping Royal Military, the Golden Hawks learned what it felt like to be swept. Queen's remains unbeaten (7-0), having given up just six sets in seven matches after sweeping Wilfrid Laurier 25-22, 25-22, 25-16. Daniel McCrae led the Gaels with 12 points to go along with four digs. Gaels libero Steve Willis made a spectacular dig in the second set to help recover from a 21-14 deficit. The hometeam Golden Hawks made 20 errors on offence for the night.

The Rams improved to 6-0 on the season after a nail-biting five-set win (14-25, 26-24, 19-25, 25-21, 18-16) over McMaster. Ryerson got a match-high 25 points from senior right side Ryan Vandenburg (Wooler, Ontario), which included 23 kills, an assist and an ace. He also made eight digs, second on the team behind only libero Lukas Porosa (Scarborough, Ontario). Marauders setter Sean Panchal was spectacular, producing game highs of 49 assists and 11 digs.
