May, Poulin keep No. 5 Mustangs undefeated
The Mustangs were down two sets to one before winning a tight fourth set and using that momentum to take the fifth and final set.
Garrett May led the Mustangs attack with 19 kills, an ace and a solo block. Mathieu Poulin's play was strong with 15 kills, eight digs, three aces, a solo and two assisted blocks.
Western won the first set 25-18 before losing the next two sets 25-20 and 25-22. With their backs against the wall they won the fourth set 26-24 and dominated the fifth set winning 15-7.
The Mustangs are undefeated on the season sitting atop the OUA standing with a 9-0 record. The next closest teams are McMaster at 8-2 and Queen's now 7-2 on the season.
Western will play RMC on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
