FIORINO TAKES CHARGE OF MARAUDERS WOMEN'S RUGBY SIDE

HAMILTON - McMaster is pleased to announce the hiring of Sandro Fiorino as the McMaster Women's Rugby Head Coach.

Sandro has been coaching Rugby for 12 years in Canada and Italy.

Fiorino is currently the head coach of the Yeomen Women's Rugby Club that competes in the Ontario Senior Women's league. This year two of the three teams qualified for post-season play including a club league co-championship and national silver medal. His work at the senior level earned him an assistant coach position with the senior women's provincial team.

Sandro has coached at the University of Toronto, Markham Rugby Club, Markham High School, Bottocino Rugby Club (Italy), Bishop's College School (Private School Grade seven-12 in Lennoxville, QC), and Bishops University.

Fiorino holds a Bachelor's Degree from Bishops University where he earned all-conference honours in rugby and was a member of the Gaitors football team.

Therese Quigley, Director of Athletics and Recreation commented that \"Sandro is an excellent coach, and we look forward to having him on staff.\"

The McMaster Women's Rugby team will begin training camp in early September.
