TRENT HOSTS RUGBY TOURNAMENT ON NEW FIELD

Peterborough, ON- With construction complete on the new artificial turf field at Trent University, Trent will host a preseason women’s rugby tournament featuring teams from Trent, the University of Ottawa and Brock University. The tournament begins with Trent hosting Brock, Friday, September 2nd at 6pm. Trent will begin OUA regular season play September 10th at Queen’s University.

The upgrade to Trent University’s athletic facilities is a three phase project and is a result of a partnership between students and administration, in which the student body voted in 2004 to provide financial support of a master plan to improve athletic facilities at Trent. Phase one of the athletics project includes construction of a stadium with artificial turf, and lighting.
