MUSTANGS STAY UNBEATEN
The McMaster Marauders sit four points behind the Mustangs in the West after posting back-to-back 3-0 wins this week over the Waterloo Warriors Wednesday and the Brock Badgers Sunday. First-year setter Jennifer Holt had 33 assists for the Marauders in Waterloo win and added 35 more against Brock. Melonie Allin led McMaster with 10 kills against the Warriors.
The East Division leading Toronto Varsity Blues won their lone match of the week, 3-2 over the second-place Ottawa Gee-Gees Saturday. Mila Miguel had 22 kills for the Varsity Blues, who trailed two sets to one before rallying to take the final two. Christine Lamey had 22 kills for Ottawa. The Gee-Gees were 1-1 on the week, defeating the RMC Paladins 3-0 the previous night. Melissa Maddocks had 10 kills for Ottawa, while Manon Ouellette recorded a match-high 12 digs.
The York Lions didn't drop a set all week as they beat the Queen's Golden Gaels 3-0 Saturday and the Paladins 3-0 Sunday. York is 6-2 on the year.
