#2 OTTAWA GEE-GEES TAKE TWO WINS
Ottawa also had a strong first half against the Ravens as they took an early 2-0 lead. Coulibaly scored her third of the weekend, while Arden Jobling added the other for the No. 2 team in the country. With the win, the Ravens once again have yet to beat the Gee-Gee's since their inception to the OUA. Carleton did manage a convincing 6-1 win over Trent on Saturday. Nina Bigras and Libby Starnes each scored twice for the Ravens.
Queen's, the fifth-ranked team in Canada, came away with their second tie of the season as Laurier matched them 1-1. Kara Kitts scored for the Golden Gaels, while Catherine Ciarallo netted the Golden Hawks marker. Laurier was no match for the No.8 Western Mustangs the day before as Western blanked their division rivals 3-0. Heather Christie scored twice, while Allison Oosterhuis netted the remaining goal. On Sunday, Western blanked Windsor 8-0 as Mustang keeper Jessy Kapitany picked up her fourth shutout in four games. Sarah Regan scored four goals in the win, with Kate Crowley adding two.
In the South division, Brock and McMaster came away with victories. Michelle Shaw scored the game's only goal in the second half of the Badgers 1-0 win over Ryerson. Tiffany Scriver was credited with the shutout. The Marauders blanked Guelph 2-0 on goals by Emily Sidworth and Emma Stewart. Natalie Fitzpatrick had the shutout for McMaster.
Toronto defeated cross-town rival York 1-0 Saturday. Sheona Morrison notched in the game winner. York bounced back and handed Ryerson their second loss of the weekend and fourth of the season on Sunday. The 7-0 game included four goals by rookie Ashley Depalma. Elsewhere, RMC won their first game in OUA history, defeating Trent 1-0. Katie Marasco scored, with goalie Dawn MacDonald recording the shutout.
