CARLETON'S PENFOUND NAMED CIS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Penfound was perfect in net on the weekend leading the Ravens (4-1-2) to a pair of shutout victories in Kingston, Ont. over RMC (1-6-0), 4-0, and Queen's (4-1-2), 1-0. Queen's was ranked fifth in the country at the time of the contest.
The Bowmanville, Ont. native, in her first year as Carleton's starting keeper, has posted four shutouts in seven outings for a goals against average of 0.57.
With the wins, the Ravens find themselves in a three-way tie for first place in the OUA East division with Queen's and Ottawa. Carleton faces second-ranked Western (6-0-0), the only team in the country with a perfect record, and Windsor (1-3-1) this weekend.
