QUEEN�S AND WESTERN FINISH IN A 1-1 TIE
Both Carleton and Ottawa defeated Trent by scores of 5-0. In the Ravens contest, Diana Burmester added two more goals, bringing her CIS leading total to nine. Angela Penfound recorded her fifth shutout of the season. In the Gee-Gees win over Trent, Melissa Abraham and Ramata Coulibaly each scored twice.
In the South division, Brock blanked McMaster 2-0 to take a two-point lead in the division standings. Lauren Hayward and Stephanie White scored for the Badgers, while Megan Climenhage was awarded her second shutout of the season. The Guelph Gryphons handily defeated the winless Ryerson 4-0. Katherine Stross picked up the shutout. Guelph looks to jump ahead of the Badgers in the standings next weekend in the head-to-head game to end the regular season.
Waterloo's Nicole Grinstead scored twice in the Warriors 3-0 win over cross-town rival, the Laurier Golden Hawks. Jenna Jamani also scored and netminder Kelly Ogden recorded the shutout. The Windsor Lancers were able to take a 1-0 victory over RMC. Western had similar results against the Paladins, taking a 6-0 decision. Jessica Van Dyk scored a hat trick, while keeper Jessy Kaptiany was awarded her nation-leading seventh shutout.
In the North division, York and Laurentian drew to a 1-1 tie. April Noga scored in the first half for the home team Lions, but with 10 minutes remaining the Voyageurs tied it up on a goal by Kristy MacKenzie. The Sudbury school could not put away Toronto, as the Varsity Blues took a 2-0 decision. Lindsay Lashley and Donna Caravalhal scored for the Blues, who hold onto second place in the North. Toronto also blanked Nipissing 2-0 on the weekend. Ruthann Gairdner scored both of Toronto's goals. Netminder Andrea Tristao recorded the two shutouts. Elsewhere in the North division, York blanked Nipissing 4-0. Noga scored two, to give her three on the weekend and Jodie Williams added two more.
