RYERSON SURPRISES OTTAWA, QUEEN'S OVERTAKES CARLETON
Early in the first half, Ryerson rookie Andrea Raso (Toronto, Ont.) scored for the home side. It was an early lead that would last throughout the contest in a well-contested match by both sides. Ottawa was able to gain control of the match and put pressure on the Ryerson back line, but were unable to capitalize on their scoring opportunities.
The Gee-Gees forced Ryerson keeper Michelle Smicklas (Oakville, Ont.) to make 13 saves on the day, earning the shut out. Katarina Vulic (Oakville, Ont.) recorded three saves on the day. The loss was the second on the season for the Gee-Gees, while the win extended Ryerson's undefeated streak to six games.
