BROCK MEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS TO MISSOURI
Missouri had five players in double figures led by Marcus Denmon who recorded 23 points including 4-for-6 from beyond the arc. Miguel Paul contributed with 17 points while Leo Lyons, Demarre Carroll and Matt Lawrence combined for 15-of-21 (71.4 percent) from the field finishing with 15, 13 and 11 points respectively.
The Badgers were led by the freshman trio of Didi Mukendi (St. Catharines, Ont.), Chris Stinson (Ottawa, Ont.), and Joel Whitty (St. Catharines, Ont.). Mukendi recorded a game high 22 points. Stinson registered a double-double off the bench adding 12 points and 11 boards. Whitty rounded out the Brock leaders finishing with 11 points and seven assists.
Missouri's defensive pressure caused the young Badgers squad to turn the ball over 35 times which led to 50 points off turnovers for the Tigers. Mizzou also used their size and speed to their advantage recording 27 steals and outscoring the Badgers 30-4 in fastbreak points.
Missouri shot 54.3 percent (44-for-81) for the game to the Badgers 45.8 percent (22-for-48).
