It were the Ravens that soared to an early lead when midfielder Samuel McHugh (Russell, Ont.) got one past Laurentian goaltender Scott Cliff (Sudbury, Ont.) at the 12-minute mark of the first half.
The Voyageurs pulled even in the 35th minute when fifth-year striker Andrew Piccinetti (Stittsville, Ont.) scored his first of the season, knocking one past second-year netminder Samuel Hincks (Guelph, Ont.).
The Ravens continue their road trip with a stop in Nipissing on Sunday afternoon.
NO. 10 TORONTO 6, TRENT 0
At Toronto, the host Varsity Blues made quick work of the Trent Excalibur scoring five goals in the first half en route to a 6-0 victory.
Third-year midfielder Mario Nallira (Toronto) and third-year striker Alexander Raphael (East York, Ont.) both scored two goals against the Excalibur. Second-year defender Yannis Gianniotis (Toronto) and third-year forward Seung Bok Lee (Seoul, South Korea) added single goals.
First-year netminder John Smits (Mississauga, Ont.) earned the shutout for the No. 10-nationally ranked Varsity Blues.
QUEEN'S 3, RYERSON 1
At Ryerson, the Queen's Gaels were the first road team to earn a victory on the young season, defeating the Ryerson Rams.
Second-year midfielder Jordan Brooks (Angus, Ont.) scored a pair of goals, while rookie teammate Adrian Rochford (Ottawa) added a single goal for the Gaels.
Michael Jan (Toronto) scored the lone goal for the Rams.
