The rest of the match was all Laurier. Kaley Powers (Kingston, Ont.) started things off by scoring with less than two minutes remaining in the firs t period to tie the game up going into the break.
The Hawks added to their goal total in the second with two power play markers from Vanessa Schabkar (Etobicoke, Ont.) and Fiona Lester (Peterborough, Ont.).

YORK 7, WINDSOR 2
At York, the Lions exploded offensively as they trounced the visiting Windsor Lancers 7-2. The win puts York in third spot in the OUA heading into the winter break.
It was an afternoon for padding the stats sheet, as Mandy Cole (Peterborough, Ont.) led the Lions with a hat trick, Courtney Unruh (Fort St. John, B.C.) contributed a team-high three assists, and both Kristie Wilson (Hamilton, Ont.) and Autumn Mills (London, Ont.) had a goal and an assist.
Rebecca Bond (Espanola, Ont.) and Michelle Daniels (Scarborough, Ont.) picked up lone helpers.
Mills scored first for the Lions at 3:29 of the opening period, and Cole had her first of the day less than a minute later at 2:35.
After leading 2-1 out of the first period, the floodgates opened up and the Lions fired in five straight goals over the final two periods.
In the second, Wilson's goal came at 8:07. Cole notched her second at 7:10 and Kelsey Webster (Duncan, B.C.) banged in a goalmouth rebound at 1:38.
Michelle Guy (Kitchener, Ont.) scored just 42 seconds into the third period, taking the breath out of those in attendance at York's CanLan Ice Sports Arena as her wrist shot slipped through the Lancers defence and goaltender.
Cole capped off her hat trick at 10:07 of the third.
Windsor had the first goal of the game at 11:27 of the first period off the stick of Julie Hamilton on the power play. Manon Davis added her OUA-leading 13th goal with 6:31 left in the third on a bad York turnover.
All York goals came at even strength – Cole's second goal was a post-rattling blast scored four-on-four. The Lions had five power plays but were not able to capitalize, while the penalty kill went five-for-six.
Sydney McMurter (Orillia, Ont.) posted a .933 save percentage and stopped 28 shots in the win.
WESTERN 5, TORONTO 3
At Toronto, the Varsity Blues fell 5-3 to the Western Mustangs on Sunday at Varsity Arena.
U of T came out flying and looked eager to score from the opening face off. However, it was the Mustangs who would strike first as Katie Dillion (Oshawa, Ont.) scored a wrap-around goal midway through the first period.
Western increased their lead to two 1:48 into the second frame as Kaley Sisler (Arkona, Ont.) received a pass from linemate Brittany Buck (Etobicoke, Ont.) and sent the puck through Blues goaltender Melissa Muir's (Winnipeg) legs and into the net.
The Mustangs continued to pressure and would build a three-goal advantage when Lindsay Repath (Thornhill, Ont.) tipped a Lindsay Gidomski (Mississauga, Ont.) shot to beat a screened Muir midway through the game.
The Blues finally got on the board with two power play markers in the last 58 seconds of the second period.
Second-year forward and Varsity Blues player of the game Callie Bazak (Peterborough, Ont.) finished off a beautiful end-to-end rush when she sent a booming shot at net to beat Western goaltender Jessica Ulrich (Keswick, Ont.).
46 seconds later fifth-year veteran Annie DelGuidice (Hamilton, Ont.) sent a shot from the high slot over Ulrich's glove and into the net.
Western held a slight 3-2 lead after two periods of play.
Second-year Mustangs forward Chantal Morais (Guelph, Ont.) would increase Western's lead on the power play as she walked out of the corner and sent the puck five-hole to put Western up 4-2.
The Mustangs ran into some penalty trouble as the Blues were rallying to get back in the game. With five minutes remaining, third-year forward Brenley Jorgensen (Kingston, Ont.) wired a wrist shot through traffic into the top corner of the net to put U of T within one.
Despite a six-on-five advantage, Toronto's hopes to tie things up would be crushed as Mustangs leading scorer Ellie Seedhouse (Whitby, Ont.) add an empty-netter to secure the 5-3 victory.
UOIT 4, WATERLOO 2
At UOIT, the Ridgebacks welcomed the Waterloo Warriors to the dog pound on Sunday. In what was a hard fought and entertaining game, a Ridgebacks comeback effort fell short as they lost by a final score of 4-2.
Mandy Harrop scored a pair of goals for the Warriors. Other scorers for Waterloo included Randi Lynn Wilson and Brittany Holland.
Waterloo wasted no time to get on the board as they scored just 11 second into the game. The Warriors would add another and took a 2-1 lead into the third period.
Ridgeback freshman Jill Morillo (Whitby, Ont.) did all of the scoring for UOIT as she came up with her eighth and ninth goals of the season. Morillo's second goal of the game came at the 8:56 mark of the third period to cut the Warrior lead to 3-2, but Waterloo's captain Randi Lynn Wilson scored five minutes later to put the game on ice.
Morillo leads all OUA freshman in scoring with 13 points this season. With nine goals on the year, she also sits sixth overall in goals score (first in freshman).
UOIT's power play continued to struggle over the weekend as they went 0-for-15 with the man advantage.
TORONTO 3, WINDSOR 2
At Toronto, second-year defenceman Allie White scored one goal and added one assist as the Varsity Blues defeated the Windsor Lancers 3-2 on Saturday at Varsity Arena.
After a scoreless first period, the Blues opened the scoring White (Metcalfe, Ont.) sent a high shot from the point that trickled past Windsor goaltender Jamie Tessier (Copper Cliff, Ont.) and into the net.
U of T held a 1-0 lead after two periods of play.
At 7:47 into the third period fourth-year forward Emily Milito (Ottawa) tipped White's point shot between Tessier's legs to put the Blues up by two.

Toronto did not give up hope and would score the eventual game-winner two minutes later. Fifth-year veteran Annie DelGuidice (Hamilton, Ont.) put forth a solid individual effort to drive the puck towards the net and Brenley Jorgensen (Kingston, Ont.) was there to tap in the rebound.
QUEEN'S 2, WATERLOO 1
At Waterloo, Brittany McHaffie (Guelph, Ont.) scored the game winning goal at 7:52 into the third period on the power play to hand the No. 7 Queen's Gaels a 2-1 win over the Waterloo Warriors

Queen's fired 30 shots on Waterloo goaltender Erica Bridgewater. Queen's Karissa Savage (Calgary) saved all but one of the 28 shots she faced.
WESTERN 4, YORK 3, SO
At York, the women's hockey game held on Saturday at Canlan Ice Sports between the Lions and the Western Mustangs was a battle from start to finish and in the end, the Mustangs took home the 4-3 shootout win with a goal in the seventh round.
The game got off to a fiery start with both teams showing their offensive prowess. Both teams fought up and down the ice, trying to get the first goal. Less than halfway into the first period, York's Mandy Cole (Peterborough, Ont.) put one past the Mustangs goalie after a great individual effort.
The Mustangs stampeded out after that goal, scoring two quick goals of their own to give them the lead.
As the first period was winding down, York captain Courtney Unruh (Fort St. John, B.C.) wired in a backhand goal with assists from Kristie Wilson (Hamilton, Ont.) and Autumn Mills (London, Ont.) to tie the game. Just 30 seconds later, York netted another goal to take the lead. This time it was Andrea Joyce (Oakville, Ont.) who batted home the rebound after passes from Jennifer Petkovics (Mississauga, Ont.) and Michelle Guy (Kitchener, Ont.). Going into the first intermission, York held a 3-2 lead.
Both teams flew off the bench and into the fray in the second period. Cole had several good rush chances, and Kimberely Ramcharan (Brampton, Ont.), whipped up and down the ice with the puck. Neither team could get one past the opposing goaltender, however, until just past the halfway point of the period. The Mustangs got one through the York defence and past Sydney Brown (Kincardine, Ont.), who otherwise had a stellar 28 saves on the night.
The teams were well-matched, and the stalemate that Western made lasted for the rest of the second and right through the third period.
Even though they were on the penalty kill for most of overtime, York still tore up the ice and put shot after shot on the Mustang net but were not able to score the game-winner.
On their first three shots in the shootout, both York and Western put in two pucks. York's Chloe Milano (Maple, Ont.) and Cole scored on the Mustangs' netminder, but still things were tied. York's next shot was stopped, and the Mustangs had the chance to win, but Brown made the save on Western's next shot to prolong the game.
After another goal and then another save for both sides, Western's Aoife Cox found the back of the net to give the Mustangs the thrilling victory.
LAURIER 3, QUEEN'S 0
At Queen's, the No. 7 nationally-ranked Gaels lost their second game of the season to the undefeated No. 2 Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks 3-0 at the Memorial Arena in Kingston, Ont. on Friday evening.
It was the Hawks that would get on the board first with a power play goal when Candice Styles deflected a shot from Andrea Ironside into the back of the Gaels net. The Hawks were able to add to their score with a shorthanded breakaway goal from Caitlin Muirhead with six seconds left to play in the opening period.
The Gaels were penalized with two penalties halfway through the period, and were forced to play 5-on-3. The Gaels were able to stop the Hawks from adding another goal with strong defence and several important saves from Gaels keeper Mel Dodd-Moher of Stittsville, Ont. The Gaels finished the end of the second period with an offensive push to attempt to narrow the gap going into the third period.
The third period saw the pace of the game slow as the Hawks set back on their two goal lead by playing a defensive game. Kristin Smith of Toronto, Ont., had the Gaels best chance to narrow the lead with a bullet shot that was gloved by the Gaels keeper early in the period. The Gaels spent the rest of the period attempting to penetrate the Hawk's defence.
With seven minutes remaining, Muirhead added her second of the game for Laurier after converting a pass from behind the net by Abby Rainsberry.
