BADGERS FALL TO LIONS IN WOMEN'S HOCKEY

With a man-advantage, York opened the scoring 6:25 into the first period when Karen Wiltshire deflected a point shot from Kelsey Webster for her first goal of the season. Midway through the first, the Lions would add to their one goal lead as Chloe Milano and Jennifer Petkovics setup Amanda McBride for her second of the season which would prove to be the game winner.
York would take a commanding 3-0 lead midway through the second period, as Webster beat Brock netminder Beth Clause (Hamilton, Ont.) for her fifth of the campaign. York led 3-0 after 40 minutes.
Less then three minutes into the third period, Brock would get on the board as senior Kelly Walker (Brampton, Ont.) set up rookie Rachel Piotrowski (Kitchener, Ont.) who buried it past York goalkeeper Sydney McMurter for her third of the year.
With less than four minutes left in regulation, Webster would add her third point of the night as she setup Mandy Cole who would slide it past Clause for her team leading 17th goal of the season.
In goal York's McMurter recorded 23 saves for the victory. Clause turned aside 26 York shots in the loss. The Lions record improves to 17-8-1.
