WINDSOR WINS TWO OVER QUEEN'S AND UOIT, GUELPH WIN IN OT AGAINST TORONTO
The University of Windsor Lancers (4-1) continued their strong play this past weekend with two wins, the first coming against Queen's University (1-2-2) and the second over University of Ontario Institute of Technology (0-4).
On Saturday the Lancers dominated play as they out-shot the Gaels 34-20 including a one-sided second period where shots were 14-3 in favor of the Lancers. Windsor goals were produced by Candace Rapchuk (Stoney Pointe, Ont.), Kelly Calhoun (Toronto, Ont.) and Ashley Kirby (LaSalle, Ont.) in the win.
In Sunday's game facing off against the inaugural team of UOIT, Windsor pulled off a tight 3-2 win in overtime. After going down by a goal the Lancers scored three unanswered goals to secure another victory on the road. Ashley Kirby (LaSalle, Ont.), Jodilynn Brown (Corunna, Ont.) and Jessica Casey (Amherstburg, Ont.) each scored a goal in the victory while Celestine Manning made 29 saves to earn the victory.

The University of Guelph Gryphons (4-1) earned a hard-fought victory at the University of Toronto (3-0-0-1) on Sunday. Guelph is currently tied for the top spot in the standings.
Varsity Blues Janine Davies and Karolina Urban opened the scoring on two power play goals in the second period to give Toronto a 2-0 lead going into the third. Guelph's Jennifer Rivers pulled one back for the visitors on a power play goal to cut the lead to one.
Carla D'angelo and Rivers would add two more goals, including one in overtime, to give Guelph the come-from-behind win. University of Toronto's Davies had a game high three points with a goal and two assists.
