OFA ANNOUNCES HEAD COACH, COORDINATORS FOR 2010 U-18 TEAM ONTARIO WEST
Rob Underhill – Head Coach
Rob was the Head Coach of Team Ontario U-19 in 2008 & 2009 and served as the Secondary Coach in 2007. He is currently the Head Coach of the Steel City Ironmen in the OVFL, a position he has held since 2007. Rob was an assistant coach with the Ironmen in 2005 and 2006 and has been the Defensive Coordinator for Bishop Tonos High School in Hamilton since 2006. Rob is a Police Officer with the Halton Region Police Force and has been since 2002. He currently works in the Training Bureau.
Bill Brown – Special Teams Coordinator
Bill is currently the Defensive Coordinator & Recruiting Coordinator for the University of Guelph Gryphons. Bill is in his tenth year as a Gryphon Coach, in his third year as a Defensive Coordinator. Bill was the Defensive Coordinator for Team Ontario West in 2009. Bill is also a Learning Facilitator for NCCP. He coached the Guelph Bears in the Ontario Varsity Football League for four years. His latest season was in 2007 as the Head Coach. As a player for the Gryphons from 1994-1998, Bill was named 1994 Gryphon Rookie of the Year, 1996 OUAA All-Star, was a member of the 1996 Yates Cup Championship team and 1998 Gryphon Defensive Player of the Year.
Mickey Donovan – Defensive Coordinator
Mickey is in his third year as the Recruiting Coordinator and Full-Time Assistant Coach with the University of Western Ontario Mustangs. He coached with New Hampshire State (Division 1-AA) and prior to this, played the position of linebacker at both the University of Maine and at Concordia University. During his time as a player in the CIS, he was named a two-time All-Canadian and national defensive player of the year. Mickey is recently married to his wife Ashley.
Jon Behie – Offensive Coordinator
Jon is currently the Quarterback Coach & Offensive Coordinator for the McMaster University Marauders. He recently coordinated the 2008 CIS East West Bowl and worked as an Offensive Assistant for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats during the 2008 CFL Season. Jon played football for 5 years at McMaster University (2002-2006) as both a Quarterback and Slotback. Jon was Born and raised in Burlington, Ontario and currently resides in Dundas, Ontario with wife Jenn.
