ESKIMOS LOAD UP WITH FORMER OUA RECEIVERS
Entering his 10th year in the CFL, Talbot has accumulated 261 receptions for 3,402 yards and 17 touchdowns over 113 games. The Wilfrid Laurier product enjoyed the best season of his career in 2008 setting career-highs in receiving yards (915) and receptions (76). He was the Argos 2008 nominee for most outstanding Canadian. Talbot joined the Argos in 2001 when he was drafted in the fifth round (34th overall) in the CFL Canadian Draft. He missed the majority of the 2009 season with a back and ankle injury. Talbot finished his four-year stint at Laurier with 124 receptions, 2,140 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Smith appeared in eight games (six starts) in his sophomore year with the Toronto Argonauts in 2009 recording 14 receptions for 142 yards. The Quebec native was originally drafted by the Double Blue in the sixth round (45th overall) of the 2007 CFL Canadian Draft. He spent the majority of his rookie campaign on the practice roster. He was claimed off the PR by the Alouettes in September, 2007 and appeared the last seven games of the season. Brad rejoined the Argos in September, 2008 where he spent the rest of the season on the practice roster.
Smith played his university football with the Queen's Gaels, where he was a former first-team all-Canadian and OUA all-star.
