RAVENS TO HOST NCAA BASKETBALL TEAMS
OTTAWA - The Carleton Ravens men's and women's basketball programs will again "tip off" the 2009-10 CIS basketball season with exhibition games against NCAA Division I schools.
The men have invited Towson University (Towson, Md.), a member of the Colonial Athletic Conference on Mon., Aug. 17 and Tues., Aug. 18 to the Ravens' Nest and St. John's University (Jamaica, N.Y.) from the Big East Conference on Sun., Sept. 6.
The Towson Tigers will face the Carleton alumni team on Aug. 17 and play the defending CIS national champion Ravens 2009-10 varsity squad on Aug. 18. Game times are slated for 8 p.m.
The St. John's Red Storm come to Ottawa on Sept. 6 to face the Ravens varsity team at 1 p.m., in the Nest.
Tickets will be sold only on game days. The cost of tickets for the games against Towson on Aug. 18 and St. John's on Sept. 6 are as follows:
Stadium Seating:
Adult: $12
Non CU Students: $10
CU Students/Youth: $8
Bleacher Seating:
Adult: $10
Non CU Students: $8
CU Students/Youth: $5
The Towson-Carleton alumni game will be a general admission cost of $5 (children 16 and under $2).
The Carleton Ravens women's team has invited the University of Vermont Catamounts (Burlington, Vt.) on Thurs., Aug. 27 at 8 p.m. and Farleigh Dickinson University (Teaneck, N.J.) on Fri., Aug. 28 at 8 p.m. Both games are scheduled for the Ravens' Nest.
Tickets prices for both women's games are $5 general admission (children 16 and under $2).
