OUA W-VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: MARAUDERS REACH DOZEN VICTORIES
A pair of Marauders shined in the contest. Larissa Puhach (Burlington, Ont.) earned 10 kills and 11 points while teammate Shannon McRobert (Whitby, Ont.) contributed nine kills and 13 points.
Leah Saar (Ajax, Ont.) and Carli Yim (Markham, Ont.) both earned four kills and seven points for the Rams.
McMaster remains two points ahead of the Waterloo Warriors (11-2) in first place in the OUA West.
QUEEN'S 3, YORK 2
At Queen's, the Gaels (7-5) came back from a two-set deficit and defeated the defending OUA champion York Lions 3-2 (27-29, 17-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-11) on Sunday.
Natalie Gray (Oshawa, Ont.) led the Gaels with 22 points and 19 kills. She also contributed 14 digs. Queen's teammates Elyssa Heller (Highland Park, Ill.) and Colleen Ogilvie (Calgary) contributed 11 kills each.
Kristina Vlcek (Toronto) earned 23 points and 16 kills for the Lions (7-4). Teammate Sarah Sutton also had 16 kills.
BROCK 3, WINDSOR 0
At Brock, the Badgers (9-5) defeated the Windsor Lancers (1-11) at home 3-0 (25-11, 32-30, 25-11) on Sunday.
Erin Mercer had a team-high 15 points, 13 digs and 12 kills for the Badgers, while teammate Shannon Anderson earned 11 kills.
Kaila Seguin (Windsor, Ont.) earned a game-high 16 points and 13 kills for the Lancers.
GUELPH 3, OTTAWA 0
At Ottawa, the Guelph Gryphons (8-4) earned a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-21) road victory over the Gee-Gees (4-8) on Sunday.
Brooke Lloyd (Whitby, Ont.) led the Gryphons with 10 points, including nine kills. Melissa McGinn (Vancouver) earned 29 assists.
Karina Krueger-Schwanke scored 14 points and 11 kills for the Gee-Gees in a losing effort.
WATERLOO 3, WINDSOR 0
At Waterloo, the Warriors made short work of the Windsor Lancers, winning 3-0 (25-19, 25-10, 25-16) on Saturday.
Megan McKenzie (South Surrey, B.C.) led the Warriors with 14 points and 12 kills. Teammate Bojana Josipovic (Kitchener, Ont.) added 12 points and eight kills.
Mackenzie Leckie (Windsor, Ont.) led the Lancers with nine points and eight kills.
TORONTO 3, RYERSON 0
At Ryerson, the Toronto Varsity Blues (8-4) defeated the host Rams 3-0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-19) on Saturday.
Heather Bansley (Waterdown, Ont.) earned 15 points and 12 kills for the Varsity Blues, while teammate Kristina Valjas (Toronto) led all players with a 17-ponts effort.
Kasandra Bracken (Sherwood Park, Alta.) led all Rams players with nine points.
YORK 3, RMC 0
At RMC, the York Lions defeated the Paladins 3-0 (27-25, 25-18, 25-11) on Saturday.
Kristina Vlcek (Toronto) led all Lions with 17 points and 13 kills.
Norah Collins (Cedar Valley, Ont.) earned 11 points, 12 digs and nine kills for the Paladins (0-10).
WESTERN 3, LAKEHEAD 0
At Lakehead, the Western Mustangs defeated the host Thunderwolves 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-14) on Friday.
Western's Elaine Screaton (Calgary) had game-highs in points (15) and kills (11). Jacqueline Robinson (Vancouver) added 12 points and 10 kills.
Sarah Reid earned 10 points and 10 kills for the Thunderwolves (1-11). Teammate Karla Brayshaw also earned 10 points and contributed nine kills.
MCMASTER 3, LAURIER 0
At McMaster, the Marauders swept the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (4-9) in straight sets 3-0 (25-8, 25-19, 25-19) on Friday.
Larissa Puhach (Burlington, Ont.) and Kaila Janssen (Oshawa, Ont.) earned team-highs with 10 points and 12 kills, respectively.
Julie Gordon (Barrie, Ont.) earned 10 points for the Golden Hawks.

At Guelph, the Brock Badgers defeated the Gryphons 3-1 (20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 26-24) on Friday.

Guelph's Kylen Van Osch (Exeter, Ont.) earned game-highs with 25 points and 18 kills.

At RMC, the Queen's Gaels won the Battle of Kingston against the host Paladins 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-13) on Friday.
Natalie Gray (Oshawa, Ont.) led the Queen's attack with 11 points and nine kills.
Melissa McCoy (Kingston, Ont.) led the Paladins with six points.
