At Ryerson, Lorna Button (Newcastle, Ont.) and the Queen's Gaels narrowly beat the Ryerson Rams 3-2 (26-24, 19-25, 19-25, 25-19 and 15-6).
Button was the game's leading scorer with 21 points including 17 kills, four service aces, and five digs.
Carli Yim (Markham, Ont.) led the Rams, earning 16 points on 13 kills, two aces and one stuff block.
WATERLOO 3, LAURIER 2
At Waterloo, the Warriors held on to defeat their cross-town foes, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, 3-2 (22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 13-25, 15-4).
Match standouts included Burlington, Ont.-native Kate Flanagan, with 13 kills for her Waterloo squad, and Laurier's Tesca Andrew Wasylik (Unionville, Ont.) who finished the evening with 26 digs and 15 points.
WESTERN 3, WINDSOR 0
At Western, the Mustangs' senior players lead the way in their final regular-season career home game, easily shutting out the visiting Windsor Lancers 3-0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-19).
St. Marys, Ont. native Jenna Thomson took home player-of-the-game honours.
YORK 3, LAKEHEAD 0
At Lakehead, the York Lions ensured the trip to Thunder Bay, Ont. was worth it, beating the Thunderwolves by a score of 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-19).
Kristina Vlcek (Toronto) led the Lions with a game-high 16 points, including 14 kills and 10 digs.
York captain Sarah Sutton (Scarborough, Ont.), also helped her team to victory, scoring 10 points and 19 digs.
TORONTO 3, QUEEN'S 0
At Toronto, in a battle of two top teams in the OUA East, the Toronto Varsity Blues blanked the Queen's Gaels, 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-11).
Toronto's Heather Bansley (Waterdown, Ont.) had a career night, leading her team with 16 kills and 11 digs, and earning her 1,000th career point.
Despite her team's loss, the Gaels' Colleen Ogilive (Calgary) turned in a phenomenal individual effort, tying the game three times and scoring nine kills.
RYERSON 3, RMC 1
At Ryerson, the Rams rebounded back from an opening set loss to defeat the RMC Paladins 3-1 (20-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-19).
Multiple players displayed on-court excellence, including Ryerson's Leah Saar (Ajax, Ont.) and Lindsay Franco (Oakville, Ont.) with 13 kills and eight kills respectively.
RMC standouts included setter Brianna Baum (Penetanguishene, Ont.) with 24 assists and three digs, and Melissa McCoy (Kingston, Ont.) with 18 kills, five digs, and three aces.
MCMASTER 3, WATERLOO 1
At McMaster, in a standoff between two of the league's best, the Marauders prevailed over the Waterloo Warriors 3-1 (25-18, 26-28, 25-22, 25-17).
Hamilton native Sarah Kiernan was the winning team's all-star, scoring 14 kills, six assisted blocks, two digs, and one ace.
Waterloo's Bohan Josipovic (Kitchener, Ont.) led her squad with 16 points, 14 digs, and 13 kills.
WESTERN 3, GUELPH 2
At Western, the Mustangs held on to defeat the Guelph Gryphons 3-2 (25-21, 25-18, 23-25, 27-29, 15-10).
The Mustangs victory was a team affair, with five players scoring over 10 points, and another five having over 12 digs.
Calgary native Elaine Screaton led Western with 17 points, including 25 digs and two aces.
TORONTO 3, RMC 0
At Toronto, in their second shutout win of the weekend, the Varsity Blues beat the RMC Paladins 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-13).
The Varsity Blues player of the game was fifth-year veteran Lauren Willoughby (Unionville, Ont.) who recorded seven kills and seven digs.
RMC's Melissa McCoy (Kingston, Ont.) had her second strong game of the weekend, scoring six kills and seven digs.
YORK 3, LAKEHEAD 1
At Lakehead, in their second meeting in as many days, the Lions dismantled the Thunderwolves, winning 3-1 (25-13, 23-25, 25-18, 25-20).
York's Kristina Vlcek (Toronto) was a force to be reckoned with yet again, earning 26 points, with 22 kills and 13 digs.
GUELPH 3, WINDSOR 1
At Windsor, the Gryphons picked up their 11th win of the season, beating the Windsor Lancers 3-1 (25-16, 25-23, 21-25, 25-11).
Guelph was lead by Kylen Van Osch (Exeter, Ont.) with 24 points, Erinn Bickle (Whitby, Ont.) with 15 points, and Brooke Lloyd (Whitby, Ont.) with 14 points.
OTTAWA 3, LAURIER 1
At Ottawa, a confident looking Gee-Gees squad rallied for the win after an opening set loss, beating the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 31-29, 25-19).
Key players for the Gee-Gees included Tess Edwards (Ottawa), Karina Krueger Schwanke (Blumenau, Brazil), and Melissa Morelli (London, Ont.) who caused problems for the Golden Hawks all game long.
