MARAUDERS WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL TEAM ON RECORD PACE
Having already secured first place in the OUA West Division and the league's best overall record, the Marauders can set a team record for most wins in a season (17) by winning the regular season finale Saturday, Feb. 13 at York. McMaster also moved into the national Top 10 for the first time this season, cracking the elite list at 10th spot in this week's rankings.
The Marauders will host an OUA quarter-final match on Saturday, Feb. 20, although the opponent is yet to be determined pending final standings. A victory in the quarter-finals will bring the OUA women's volleyball final-four tournament to McMaster for the first time ever, with the Marauders as the top seed. The two-day event is scheduled for February 26 and 27.
The Marauders, under coach Tim Louks, are looking to qualify for the CIS championships for the second time in three years, having played in the 2008 CIS finals in New Brunswick. The 2010 championship will be hosted at the University of Alberta, March 5-7, 2010.
