DIVISIONAL LEADERS WIDEN THE GAP
The Golden Hawks came out of the gates flying at home and held off a streaky Brock team to capture the West Division tilt, 74-71. It was a tail of two halves for the Badgers but the hard work didn’t quite pay off after the break. Trailing 35-21 at halftime, Brock scored 50 points in the final two quarters. Each team had four players in double figures. Fourth-year Brock guard Scott Murray scored a game-high 18 points while teammate Chris Keith (Burlington, Ontario) recorded a double-double with 17 points and a game-best 11 rebounds. Third-year Hawks wing Matthew Walker (Waterloo, Ontario) led his team with 17 points.
