CARLETON UNIVERSITY'S OSVALDO JEANTY SIGNS PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT WITH NOERDLINGEN (GERMANY)
Jeanty, a Graduate of the Sprott School of Business with a degree in Commerce will leave for Germany this weekend and start his professional career on Monday (August 27th). During Jeanty's five-year Carleton University career, the Ottawa resident earned five CIS National Champion rings, earning the Most Valuable Player award in four straight Championship games. Jeanty was named the recipient of the Mike Moser Memorial Award as the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Male Basketball Player of the Year,in both 2005-06 and 2006-07. Osvaldo also was the first Carleton University Raven student-athlete to be honored with a BLG Award, symbolizing the CIS Athlete of the Year. Jeanty was selected as BLG Male Recipient in 2005-06.
"I am very proud of my career at Carleton University and I look forward to the challenges that await me in Germany" said the three time Carleton University male Athlete of the Year. "Coach Dave Smart and the Carleton University Coaching Staff prepared me for this opportunity and I will always be grateful to them."
