GLAVIC SIGNS WITH TI-CATS
Glavic, a fourth-year defensive back from Pickering, ON, will attend the Ti-Cats training camp, which began today in Hamilton. Details of his contract were not released.
Glavic was named an OUA first-team all-star in 2005 and an OUA second-team all-star in 2004 and 2003. He also played in the 2005 East-West Bowl, and was named the Lancers' 2004 Defensive Player of the Year. Glavic is currently the Lancers' career leader in solo tackles with 131 and is the Lancer record holder for single season batted balls with seven.
A Communications major, Glavic admits he is not ready to give up his football dreams quite yet. "I am not ready to end my football career right now. I love this game so much and I want to continue playing for as long as the opportunity exists," commented Glavic.
"We are very proud of Sasha and this is a great opportunity for him" said Morencie. "He had a great career as a Lancer and we look forward to seeing him play in Hamilton soon."
The Ti-Cats begin their regular season on Friday June 2 against the Toronto Argonauts in Toronto, ON.
