GOLDEN HAWKS DUO EARN CFL GIGS
Logan, a Communication Studies major from Waterloo, started his stint with the Golden Hawks in 2001. The defensive back was named to the OUA First Team All-Stars for three consecutive years, starting in 2003. He was also a CIS First Team All-Canadian in 2004 and 2005. In his five years with the Hawks, Logan had 134 tackles, two pass knockdowns and ten interceptions during the regular season. He also finished with 33 kickoff returns for 694 yards and 37 punt returns for 405 yards.
Wright, from the Hamilton suburb of Stoney Creek, ON, is also a Communication Studies major, who started his career with the Golden Hawks in 2002. In his four years with the Hawks, the wide receiver totaled 18 touchdowns and 84 passes for 1,080 yards. He also had 43 punt returns for 381 yards. Wright was named to both the OUA First and Second All-Star Teams in 2005.
Other Golden Hawks currently in the Canadian Football League include Andre Talbot (with Toronto), Donnie Ruiz (with Saskatchewan) and Corey Grant (with Saskatchewan).
