CIS ALL-TIME RUSHING LEADER RE-SIGNS WITH CFL'S BLUE BOMBERS
As per team policy, details of the agreement are not disclosed.
Stephenson (London, Ont.) is the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) career rushing leader. He spent five years with the University of Windsor Lancers, amassing 5,163 yards along the ground.
Stephenson spent the 2008 training camp with the Blue Bombers before leaving to play out his final year of eligibility with the Lancers.
"Daryl came to camp last year and impressed the coaches so much he was offered a practice roster spot. We respected the fact he elected to go back to school. When the need arose at the end of his CIS season he came back and it was like he never missed a beat," said Ross Hodgkinson, the Blue Bombers Director of Football Operations.
