UBIQUITOUS SYNERGY SEEKER TO PLAY YATES CUP HALFTIME SHOW
Simply referred to as USS, Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker was nominated for a 2009 CASBY award by 102.1 The Edge radio station for North By Northeast Favourite New Indie Release in October and performed at Edgefest '09 this past summer.
The Toronto-based duo, consisting of Ashley Boo-Schultz and Human Kebab, combine drum and bass with turntables to deliver a sound described by USS as "Nirvana unplugged at a science centre rave with DJ Premier. Bob Marley in a Lab coat. Chuck D and Flavour Flav at a motivational seminar. A campfire after party." Essentially, a clash of drum and bass and pop that works to deliver creative and catchy music.
USS will be embarking on the 1UP! Tour across Canada with fellow Canadians illScarlett to support their sophomore release, Questamation.
Get in on the action and excitement of the Ontario university football championship as the No. 4 nationally-ranked Queen's Gaels host the No. 5 nationally-ranked Western Mustangs in the 102nd Yates Cup. The game and USS's performance from Richardson Stadium in Kingston, Ont. will be nationally televised on The Score Television Network.
