NO. 5 GUELPH 6, NO. 10 YORK 1
GUELPH, Ont. - The Guelph Gryphons women's hockey team shut down the York Lions 6-1 in Saturday's Winter-Classic match-up, presented by AMJ Campbell at the Sleeman Centre in downtown Guelph. The Gryphons looked poised for victory from the start and never let up. Rookie Tamara Bell (Guelph, Ont.) led the team scoring a hat-trick.

In the second, York came out skating hard and were rewarded with a quick goal by defenceman Kelsey Webster (Duncan, B.C.).
Guelph soon regained control of the game and scored three goals before the end of the period. Jody Hodgins (Stayner, Ont.) slapped home a power-play goal and Jessica Zerafa (Mississauga, Ont.) and Bell teamed up to score two stellar fast rush goals.
In the third, Bell completed her hat-trick hitting the top mesh with a wrist shot after receiving another great pass, this time from Rivers.
