MARSHALL LOOKS FOR CAREER WIN NO. 50
With a win against York, Western would enter a match-up with the Queen's Gaels (3-0, at Toronto) on Sept. 27.
Western head coach Greg Marshall will look for his 50th career CIS/CIAU win since he began his tenure as a head coach in the league in 1997 with McMaster.
The Purple and White have only lost once against York in their history (a 30-23 loss at York in 1980 under coach Darwin Semotiuk) and they have now won 10 straight against OUA opponents dating back almost a full year to a 49-0 win over Windsor at Homecoming on Sept. 29, 2007.
The Mustangs will play at a number of schools’ Homecoming games including back-to-back weeks with York (Sept. 20) and Queen’s (Sept. 27). The Lions-Mustangs kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and can be heard live on CHRW Radio 94.9 FM in London or online at www.chrwradio.com/listen.
