MONTREAL WOMEN DEFEAT CARLETON
Montreal would respond by scoring twice before half on the Ravens first year goaltender Erin Klimas, Rissell, Ontario. The goals by Catherine Delmas-Frenette, at the 12 minute mark and Veronique Laverdiere, at the 20 minute mark, gave the Carabin a one-goal lead at the intermission.
In the second half, both teams played all their recruits trying to see what all the potential new players have to offer at the university level. Carleton's Tanya Marshall, a second year goalkeeper from Ottawa, Ontario played in nets for the Ravens as Montreal out scored Carleton 2-0 in the second stanza to win 4-1. Emile Mercier and Laverdiere scored Montreal's second half goals.
No rest for Carleton as they host McGill University, on Wednesday Night and travel to Teaneck, New Jersey next weekend to face Fairleigh Dickinson University, in a pair of exhibition games before the OUA East regular season commences.
