OUA W-SOCCER ROUNDUP: LAURIER HANDS UNDEFEATED MCMASTER FIRST LOSS
The Golden Hawks scored three times with two goals going to McKee and the other being scored by Monique Da Silva (Bradford, Ont.). For the Marauders, Sam Batten (Stouffville, Ont.) was credited with a goal.
Hawk goalie Mal Woeller (Kinburn, Ont.) made six saves where her counterpart Amy Holt (Hamilton, Ont.) made three.
McMaster’s aggressive play led to them to being called offside five times during the match, however they did manage to get six corner kicks to Laurier’s three.

BROCK 2, YORK 1
TORONTO, Ont. - The Brock Badgers women's soccer team knocked off the No. 4-ranked York Lions by the score of 2-1 advancing to the OUA semi-finals.
York's Alicia Donaldson (Mississauga, Ont.) scored first in the 33rd minute to take 1-0 lead into the half.
In the second half, Brock had a number of key scoring opportunities and were able to capitalize in the 80th minute tying the game 1-1 as junior midfielder Ali Gartley (Camlachie, Ont.) beat York goalkeeper Stephanie Bagnarol (Maple, Ont.) for her first goal of the season.
Three minutes later, freshman Sloane George (Oakville, Ont.) recorded her fifth goal of the season on a penalty kick for the eventual game winner.
The Brock defence played outstanding led by senior defender Brittany Vanderkruk (Dundas, Ont.) as they were able to keep the CIS leading scorer Stefania Morra (Scarborough, Ont.) without a shot the entire game. In their last meeting she scored all three Lions goals.
In goal, senior Tiffany Scriver (Burlington, Ont.) recorded six saves for the victory.

OTTAWA 1, QUEEN’S 0
OTTAWA, Ont. – The Gaels were denied their chance for a berth into the OUA final four on Sunday as the Ottawa Gee-Gee claimed their quarter-final match 1-0 against Queen’s.
Queen’s, who had split the season series against the Gee-Gees this year (1-1) put in a full effort but in the end fell short of the win. Rachel Swetnam (Halifax, N.S.), scored for Ottawa in the 14th minute of the first half, and the Gee-Gees played solid defence the rest of the way to take the victory.
Jess Charron (Ottawa, Ont.) posted the shutout for the Gee-Gees. Katie McKenna (Oakville, Ont.), who recorded eight shutouts this season for the Gaels, made seven saves but let in the game’s only goal.

CARLETON 1, TORONTO 0
TORONTO, Ont. - The Carleton Ravens defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues 1-0 at Varsity Centre to advance to the OUA semi-finals for the second straight year.
The Ravens scored the game’s lone goal at the 35th minute as veteran Hilary Peirce (Ottawa, Ont.) fed Aisha Stinson (Ottawa, Ont.) a perfect corner kick pass and Stinson buried the ball past Toronto’s keeper. The team then played defence and defended every chance the Varsity Blues threw at them to earn their second “Final Four” appearance in as many years.
Erin Klimas (Russell, Ont.) earned her first OUA/CIS shutout victory in the Ravens’ net.
