M-BASKETBALL: Queen's takes down cross town rivals
The win is Queen's largest margin of victory this season and breaks a six game losing streak which dates back to Nov. 12.
Misljencevic was seven of eight from the floor and was a perfect two for two at the free throw line to tally his career high mark. His previous high was nine points against Lakehead on Nov. 20.
In all, four Gaels broke the 10 point barrier and all 12 players listed on the game sheet registered at least one point or more.
Team leading scorer Dan Bannister of Newmarket, Ont. had 11 points in just 24 minutes on the floor. Tim Boyle of Belleville, Ont., and Matthew Baker of Kingston, Ont., both registered 10 points in the win.
Nicolas Cooke of Toronto was the games leading scorer dropping 18 points. He also added nine rebounds in the loss for RMC. Gavin Viray-Cox of Georgetown, Ont., had 12 points.
The Gaels will break for the December exam break and sit with a 2-7 record. They are currently tied with Ottawa and Ryerson for fifth place in the OUA East Division with four points.
Queen's next regular season game will be against the Laurentian Voyageurs on Jan. 7.
The Gaels will hit the court before that as they travel to Halifax to play in the Shoveller Memorial Tournament hosted by Dalhousie University which runs runs Dec. 31 - Jan 2.
